This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Office of Federal Financial Management (OFFM). OFFM serves the EOP in setting the strategic vision and governmentwide priorities for Federal financial management and guiding continuous improvements in agencies' execution of that vision, consistent with the law, to maximize value for the American people. Through engagement with senior leaders across the Federal Government, OFFM identifies high-value areas to improve and transform financial management operations.
The Branch Chief of OFFM serves under the general direction of the Controller and Deputy Controller. The Branch Chief of the Financial Management Mission Delivery Branch is responsible for developing, planning and implementing governmentwide programs and policies pertaining to the Federal financial management portfolio that consists of: Foundational Financial Management (e.g., Payment Integrity, Financial Systems, Financial Reporting, Debt Collection, Internal Controls), Real Property, Federal Financial Assistance Management, and Coordination with the Oversight Community.
The Financial Management Mission Delivery Branch Chief plays a critical role in managing the completion of governmentwide projects, and in handling the negotiation of sensitive items with OMB and agency colleagues, and policy officials across EOP.
