In addition, the incumbent performs appellate duties, sometimes with DOJ, and works with DOJ in defensive cases challenging final agency actions. The incumbent also interacts with client agency personnel and may represent the Division on matters assigned to him/her.
The incumbent analyzes legislative materials and correspondence received by the Department to determine whether they raise issues under the statutes for which the Division is responsible, and reviews or drafts proposed responses, as necessary.
