Anticipated Projects and Deliverables:
The Social Media Specialist will work with the External Relations team under guidance of the Director of Digital Communications and Marketing and would be responsible for the following:
Developing, implementing, and analyzing Social Media Strategy, detailed plans, and content.
Using Social Media to Engage and Educate Staff and Audiences:

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full-time year (12-months) of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the Grade 7 level (relative to federal and/or market standards) performing the following duties and responsibilities:
Superior Academic Achievement: You completed all requirements for a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college AND meet one of the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement: (1) class standing(upper third standing in graduating class based on completed courses); or (2) grade-point average (3.0 overall or over the last two years of bachelor's degree -or- 3.5 in my major field or over the last two years in my major); or (3) election to membership in a national scholastic honor society. Honor societies are listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.

Graduate Education: You successfully completed at least one full year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate level education. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: You have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education described above. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
A degree in marketing, public relations, journalism or mass communication with experience in social media platforms, current knowledge in international affairs and U.S. foreign policy are highly desirable.
