Incumbent will act in the capacity of Deputy General Counsel, Administration, and Chief Ethics Officer at the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (Permitting Council). The incumbent will provide expert legal analysis and advice and program and administrative support to the Office of Executive Director (OED) regarding agency compliance with applicable Federal administrative laws, regulations, orders, and guidance.

The Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (FPISC or Permitting Council), was established under Title XLI of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act of 2015 (FAST Act). The Permitting Council is responsible for leading ongoing government-wide efforts to modernize the Federal permitting and review process for major infrastructure projects and work with Federal Agency partners to implement and oversee adherence to the statutory requirements set forth in the FAST Act.
