The incumbent will supervise subordinate staff and employees' work relating to developing, coding, organizing, analyzing, safeguarding, and promoting VBA products and services within a web environment. This vacancy is open to current permanent employees of the Department of Veterans Affair (VA), Current and/or Former competitive Federal Employees, Veterans Employment Opportunities Act (VEOA), non-competitive eligible - 30 percent or more eligible, and CTAP.
The incumbent will serve as primary advisor to the USB, Directors and Deputy Directors of VBA regarding VBA program issues and is the principal representative and liaison to corresponding staff offices within the VA Web Office. Is responsible for coordinating with VBA business lines regarding legislative proposals and specific regulatory/procedural changes needed for successful implementation of VBA's web vision. As the Chief for Digital Strategy and Design staff, responsible for ensuring VBA business line web sites and web content are consistent with existing and evolving web practices and procurement and financial management policies.
The Supervisory Program Analyst is responsible for reviewing procedural issues of other VA programs and other agencies as well as newly enacted or changed legislation dealing with servicemembers' and Veterans' benefits matters to determine the effect upon the web program. Recommends appropriate methods of securing required information and develops data from surveys, discussions with operating officials, legislative directives, policies, plans, reports, schedules, records, and similar materials.
