- Drives one or more types of multi-passenger, wheelchair/stretcher equipped vehicles, which can carry up to 11 or more passengers and equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which will be carried daily.
- Must be trained and able to perform Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) and use of the AED.
- Must have a current CDL Class B passenger endorsement Arizona Department of Transportation License.
- Drives predetermined and/or scheduled routes or special runs.
- Arrives at and departs from pick-up and discharge points at scheduled times.
- Operates the doors to allow passengers to enter and leave the vehicle.
- Reads installation and/or road maps and judges road/traffic conditions to determine the shortest and safest route.
- Enforces passenger seatbelt use and passenger rules.
- MVO performs daily operator vehicle maintenance such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, fueling (vehicles will not be left below % tank), looking for leaks, cleaning daily (will not leave trash in the vehicle), sterilizing vehicle as needed and washing.
- MVO will report any vehicle defects, damage to the supervisor immediately.
- MVO completes daily trip tickets, trip log, passenger manifest and turns in daily.

May assist with patient stretcher services this may require an attendant these patients may weigh up to 350 pounds, no driver should lift any patients alone for employee/patient safety. Drivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all types of traffic and weather conditions cold, snow, sleet, rain, heat etc, hazardous situations, and possibly accidents. Drivers are exposed to dirt, fumes, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones because of accidents when. loading and unloading the vehicle. Incumbents have daily contact with microorganisms, psychiatric, and/or other areas with potential for exposure to infectious diseases, and handicapped patients. Position requires walking, standing, bending, sitting, crawling, and climbing. Incumbent will be assigned to one of the following routes upon as needed:
