As a Workforce Analytics Supervisor, you will be responsible for the technical and administrative supervision of a group of employees engaged in workforce analysis and HR/workforce data-modeling and forecasting. The incumbent also serves as a technical expert in workforce modeling, analysis and workforce forecasting.

As a Workforce Analytics Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
Supervises and establishes the workforce analytics/data modeling and forecasting discipline, overall approach, and tool/platform selection for GSA’s HR organization, including growing the team and developing and mentoring junior analysts. Leads, identifies, and interprets data to drive business decisions for GSA. Serves as a thought leader in business data analysis and data modeling and forecasting; serves as an evangelist of data-informed decision making and consistently identifies new ways to leverage data and analysis. Develops and manages a budget that supports the organization’s strategic goals, objectives, and values. Leads and supervises data analysis to determine current trends, forecast future trends and model future scenarios in order to recommend improvements and/or corrective actions to HR initiatives (e.g. workforce planning, succession planning, diversity/EEO, etc). Performs basic and advanced statistical modeling and forecasting to examine and identify key trends and gaps in the data using traditional and advanced methods. Works proactively and independently with HR Account Managers and Centers of Expertise (COEs) to conduct workforce data analysis, uncovers and interprets trends in the data, and produces substantiated recommendations based on data analysis, workforce modeling and forecasting. Leads employees engaged in workforce analytics/data modeling and forecasting tasks. Supervises the design and development of regular and ad-hoc workforce data reports for GSA stakeholders (e.g. annual State of the Workforce, monthly Services Summary Report, monthly Business Partner Reports, etc.) and conduct data consulting and data analysis as needed. Acts as subject matter expert on HR analysis and reporting systems/approaches. This includes identifying reporting and analyzing problems and working with management to resolve them, understanding and reconciling gaps/overlaps/apparent contradictions among and within reports and reporting tools, investigates possible methods of improving data collection and reporting processes for the HR community, and ensures compliance to HR reporting quality standards. Partners with Account Managers and Centers of Expertise (COE) Directors by providing scheduled data reviews to highlight trends and potential risks that may impact GSA’s business. Provides recommendations on further data and research to validate findings and design reports for key GSA stakeholders summarizing the data and key findings.

The GS-14 salary range per year starts at $92,977 per year. Locality will be determined based on duty station.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in at ALL of the following: applying advanced statistical modeling and multivariate analysis techniques to perform workforce data-modeling and forecasting to inform workforce planning business decisions; using statistical software programs (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stat Tools, MatLab and/or R) to conduct multivariate analysis; and creating executive level dashboards and reports that synthesize and display complex data to inform business decisions.
