SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for GS-07: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes drafting, surveying, construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems.

EDUCATION: You have successfully completed one full year of graduate education. NOTE: You must submit copies of your unofficial transcripts with your application if using education as a substitution of experience.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Specialized experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Education in excess of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-07 level. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently requires lifting and carrying items of 25 pound s and over, with assistance. frequent periods of prolonged walking and standing are necessary. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require safety precautions of offices and industrial areas. Some work is accomplished in the office and the remainder is accomplished in a munitions test area (indoors and outdoors). Industrial hazards include noise, fumes, powered machinery, hazardous chemicals, electricity, tripping, moving large rocket motors and test equipment. Employee must follow safety procedures and ware (when required) protective eye glasses, ear devices, hard hats, hard toe shoes, gloves or other protective clothing/equipment.

Hill Air Force Base provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the Minuteman III ICBM, and performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. The base is located between Ogden and Salt Lake City.
