Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Center of Excellence and Expertise. The selections will be made and oversight of these position will be maintained by the Field Office, but the physical location of the positions will remain in Otay, California.
Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to higher DHS officials within the scope of admissibility, entry and export of merchandise and revenue collection. This position starts at a salary of $85,865.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $111,629.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $111,629.00 (GS-12 Step 10). In this supervisory position, you will become a key member of a team of homeland security professionals responsible for a wide range of admissibility and control requirements. Typical work assignments include:

Supervisory Probationary Period: You may be required to serve an 18 month probationary period upon appointment.
Leadership Training: All newly appointed first-time CBP Supervisors are required to complete mandatory training. The training will be scheduled by the Office of Training and Development within the first 90 days of appointment. The duration of the training will include SLT three (3) weeks of in residence training in Harpers Ferry, WV. Note: This training may be waived if previously completed.
Technical Training: You may be required to attend 2½ weeks of paid technical training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC.
Telework may be available on a regular recurring or situational basis.
