Duties
This is an open continuous announcement. The initial cut-off date for referral is 26-NOV-19, after this date additional referral lists will be created as vacancies are available. The U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (Acq Demo). Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH03 is equal to the former GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10. AEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband.
Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $128,920.00.
- Performs a broad range of analyses for assigned weapon systems to include contract management.
- Responsible for the overall evaluation of assigned system(s),to include technical performance in critical areas, design stability/maturity, and assessment of risk and progress toward meeting key performance parameters (KPPs), key system attributes (KSAs), operational utility, and effectiveness, suitability, and survivability.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on the system or commodity being evaluated and focuses on evaluating system effectiveness.
- Responsible for overall development of test execution (planning through data delivery) with subordinate organizations and Program Manager (PM) (for contractor testing).
- Responsible for generating Safety Releases (SRs) for testing involving Soldiers and Safety Confirmations (SCs) in support of equipping, fielding, and milestone decisions for assigned system(s) and ensuring safety is addressed in evaluation reports.
- Responsible for integrating all Test & Evaluation activities and synchronizing all Army Systems Team (AST) products and coordinating with AST members for all formal products and briefings.

- This acquisition position requires LEVEL III certification in the acquisition career field of Test and Evaluation (T); or, incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of appointment.
- Incumbent must be an Acquisition Corps member upon reaching the upper portion of the pay band.
- Work requires standing, walking, occasional stair climbing and lifting of boxes, monitors, PCs, etc., some weighing up to 50 pounds.
