The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is April through October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: July 2.

Physical Demands: Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach that require incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present. Also required to work in inclement weather and/or wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.
Area Information: This position is located at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, on the Ari zona-Utah border. Page overlooks beautiful Lake Powell which offers boating, associated water sports, hunting , recreation and fishing, as well as river running on the Colorado River above and below Lake Powell. The surrounding land offers beautiful red rock country for hiking and backcountry
wilderness activity. Page is at the hub of the Grand Circle, containing America's largest concentration of national parks and monuments, such as Grand Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Grand Staircase Escalante, and the Flagstaff Area Monuments. Page offers normal small community amenities such as airport, shopping, medical and dental facilities, schools K-12 and college course s available through the local Community College.
