As a LEAD PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST at the GS-1035-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
· Oversee all directorate level planning, coordination and de-conflicting of all internal and external operations
· Coordinate and implement communication plans and programs for worldwide internal information.
· Direct, manage, plan, organize, and oversee strategic communication planning through product development and distribution.
· Provide expert advice to senior military service and DMA leadership on a wide-range of communication plans and strategy.
· Establish and maintain an effective working relationships with senior military and civilian personnel within Office of Defense, the Joint Staff, the Unified Combatant Commands and the Military Services.
· Support the Secretary of Defense and the Office of the Secretary of Defense Public Affairs Communication goals and objectives, in coordination with DoD, CCMD, and the Services.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
