As a Public Affairs Specialist at the --GS-1035-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
-Serves as a subject matter expert for media relations interactions in the Government and Public Affairs Office Agency with responsibility for matters of direst and substantial impact on DTRA.
-Plans, directs and executes national and international Public Affairs campaigns to convey complex information concerning DTRA programs, research on program-related areas, responsibilities, and outreach activities.
-Serves as an official spokesperson and point of contact for news media and public inquiries for DTRA, worldwide.
-Develops media relations policies, procedures, plans and training for all DTRA components, including relationships with the media, industry, academia, think tanks, non-governmental organizations and other private citizens.
-Develops and conducts plans and training for media relations portion of consequence management exercises and training courses.
