The NASA Pathways Intern Program provides students with the opportunity to explore NASA careers and gain meaningful developmental work experience. This is a formal training program consisting of rotational periods of study and work. Specialized training is designed to accelerate an employee to the full performance level. The participant completes assigned duties, tasks, readings, and developmental activities specified in the Program. Participants receive formal periodic assessments of progress and sign a Pathways Agreement.
The Pathways Intern will be working in the Logistics and Technical Information Division which provides a broad range of institutional services in support of NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) program, project, research and institutional needs. These services include Logistics Services, Media Services, Records Management and Archives/History, Library and Learning Center, Metrology Services, Administrative and Clerical Services, Janitorial Services, and Waste Management. Many of these services are provided through support service contracts. LTID is staffed with a team of professionals who provide programmatic oversight and management of these services to ensure they meet contractual requirements, regulatory and policy requirements, and are aligned to meet the needs of the GRC.

The Intern will provide support for all logistics services, including the oversight of programs and contracted services to include: internal and external transportation services; vehicle fleet management and repair; freight traffic management; shipment of freight; mail distributions and delivery of materials, equipment and packages; acquisition of stores, stock, furniture, fuels, propellants, chemicals, and other hazardous materials; inventory, contract property, and equipment management; receiving and warehousing of stores, stock, supplies, hazardous materials, furniture, idle or excess property, and instruments; excess property acquisition, redistribution and disposal; solid waste, scrap metal removal, recycling, and custodial services; furniture management, including the coordination of acquisitions and moving services; safety and environmental related programs.
