The selectee will serve as a Student Trainee (Psychology) in the Office of Human Resources, Research and Assessment Division, and will receive practical on-the-job experience and formal training in the field of Psychology. Duties are developmental to enhance the knowledge of human resource functions that support work operations in at least one of the following concentrations under the Personnel Research Psychologist discipline; job analysis, competency modeling, career progression, assessment development, assessment validation, survey research and design, training needs analysis and development, and organization development. Typical work assignments include:
* Handles projects and addresses problems in human resource management and development and may be individual or segments of larger, longitudinal studies.
* Assists with survey planning and design to defined populations; conducts studies to determine the predictive effectiveness of existing test for specific occupations.
* Assists senior members in tasks of limited scope and complexity related to the development and validation of special-purpose test and related instruments for application to specific and general examining needs.
* Assists with data collection to support human capital reseach efforts.
