The District of Columbia Courts, offers internships for students interested in seeking valuable experience in courts administration. Interns have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the Courts' mission to protect rights and liberties, uphold and interpret the law, and resolve disputes fairly and effectively in the District of Columbia.

Current students enrolled in an accredited high school, college or graduate institution.
United States Citizens or individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residency or authorized by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service to intern in the United States and at least 18 years old.
The Domestic Violence Division handles: Civil Protection Orders, Anti-Stalking Orders, Extreme Risk Protection Orders, and all misdemeanor criminal cases involving an 'intra-family offense.'
This position is an unpaid internship. The intern's major duties are below:

Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized by United States Citizenship and Immigration Service to intern in the U.S and at least 18 years old.
Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate school program. Preferred Program: Political Science, Criminal Justice
The student must be able to commit a minimum of 12 hours per week.
