This position is within TX SAO, and is located at the San Antonio Army Aviation Support Facility (SAASF) in an Antonio, Texas. Its purpose is to perform repair, maintenance, modification, overhaul and installation of complex electronic systems and/or a portion of a complete electronic integrated system involving work on a number of subsystems but not requiring the integration of all operable subsystems into a functional integrated system.

CAT 4 - All on-board T32/T5 within the State Aviation Office (SAO), Texas Army National Guard Membership is Required.
As an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC with the Texas Army National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE:
(1) Ability to apply electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in complex electronic systems or individual subsystems of an electronic integrated system.
(2) Thorough knowledge of the principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices theory, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory.
(3) Ability to interpret and trace schematic, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Ability to perform algebraic and trigonometric formulas to solve work related problems.
(4) Current certification in high reliability soldering techniques, as well as electrostatic discharge protective techniques.
(5) Knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS) and other publications and directives as may be applicable to the function.
