This position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct Hire Authority, Section 1109; PL, 116-92, dated 12/20/2019.
As an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-03 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serves as a Zero Trust Specialist within the USTRANSCOM's Command, Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems Directorate.
- Leads, coordinates, communicates, integrates and is accountable for the overall success of cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment with critical agency priorities.
- Conducts independent comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system.
- Designs to security requirements to ensure requirements are met for all systems and/or applications.
- Develops and acquires system(s) that are consistent with organization's cybersecurity guidelines and Department of Defense's (DoD) modernization vision.
- Tests and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development lifecycle.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Creating, reviewing, and delivering governance documentation, strategies, road maps, charters, and standards
- Assessing risk and mission impacts of security vulnerabilities
- Developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization requirements for on-premise, cloud-based or big data storage environments
