As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Analyzes technical and/or administrative personnel programs which support mission requirements and determines program effectiveness and efficiency.
Collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential cyber defense incidents within the enterprise.
Coordinates and provides expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve cyber defense incidents.
Independently tracks and documents cyber defense incidents from initial detection through final resolution.

Who May Be Considered:

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT THE GG-07 LEVEL: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT THE GG-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.

PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION ELIGIBILITY: Upon successful completion of their academic program and the Internship program, interns may be converted to a term (GG) position in the consistent with agency needs, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential. Conversion potential for this opportunity is a GG-11/12 up to the full performance level of GG-12. However, future budgetary events, hiring restrictions, conversion caps, or other events may preclude the conversion or conversion to a position with the full potential performance level. Individuals converted to a position in the competitive service may be subjected to participation in an agency formal development program.
A three trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
Management has the prerogative to select at either grade level.
Selectee of this recruitment will be required to sign a Recent Graduate Program Participant Agreement.
Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
