The Chief Data Officer (CDO) provides strategic leadership and executive direction for the FAA’s enterprise-wide data management initiatives. The CDO leverages the agency’s information assets, develops and executes business strategies, drives data integration efforts, and fosters innovation through collaboration with industry and research partners. The incumbent collaborates with the senior FAA Executive leaders to build strong stakeholder relationships, align data strategies with operational goals and create a unified data vision, cultivate a data-driven culture across the FAA, and achieve measurable results to advance the FAA’s mission.
The CDO oversees a $21M budget and leads a team of nearly 40 professionals, including six (6) K and L-Band managers who are responsible for critical aspects of data governance, management, and strategy execution.
Principal Responsibilities:
As a basic requirement for entry into the FAA Executive System, you must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability; and that is directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Leadership and Technical Requirements listed below.
