The incumbent in this position is responsible for processing assistance grants awarded by the Office of Justice Programs and for providing assistance and advice on financial management policies relating to these awards to Department of Justice (DOJ) and OJP bureaus/offices, grantees and other federal agencies which are cross serviced and, as such, reviews and approves indirect cost allocation plans for the state government agencies, for profit and non-profit organizations; performs financial reviews of grant applications; monitors financial and administrative compliance of grantees through site visits and desk reviews; develops, coordinates, and implements audit procedures and resolves audit issues; customizes program office-specific training; integrates and promulgates internal OJP and external financial management policy.
Performs cost accounting functions including analyses of indirect cost allocation plans and review of contract and grantee payment requests to validate costs and compliance with grant or contract terms.
Performs duties associated with the management, control, and usage of financial resources or funds; supplies financial reports to operating program officials for informational and planning purposes; and plans and conducts financial monitoring and/or grantee audit activities.
Participates in development, prioritization of needs, review and analysis, and reporting on OJP's financial monitoring and/or grantee audit activities.
Performs various writing and editing duties for a variety of documents and reports.

This position requires travel up to 7 days per month.
Overtime may be required for this position.
This position is not a remote position. The duty station is Washington, DC. The selectee will be required to report to the duty station at least 4 days per bi-weekly pay period.
