Office of Policy, Data, and Oversight
The Office of Policy, Data, & Oversight is responsible for supporting examination and ongoing supervision of FHFA's regulated entities including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks in the areas of public interest supervision with quality control, policy, economic analysis, and data analysis expertise. Public interest supervision includes compliance, mission achievement, and effectiveness of affordable housing, community development, diversity and inclusion, consumer protection, fair lending, equitable housing, and fair housing programs. The office is also responsible for establishing appropriate supervisory requirements and training related to public interest supervision in coordination with other FHFA offices as appropriate, establishing regular reporting requirements for regulated entities related to public interest supervision, and coordinating with other regulators to achieve shared public interest supervision objectives.
