- Serve as a technical expert and authority on workforce diversity and inclusion issues related to internal and external activities.
- Responsible for leading a variety of programs designed to address diversity and inclusion issues, with a specific focus on disparity issues related to the underrepresentation of racial, ethnic, and other specific groups.
- Coordinate activities and serves as principal advisor and negotiates recommendations and actions on special initiatives/projects involving diversity and inclusion issues.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations to scientists, clinicians, and researchers that address significant and persistent differences in disease rates and health outcomes between people of differing socioeconomic status.
- Develops and presents reports/presentations to higher-level management on health disparities in research, and makes recommendations on solutions to improve outcomes.
- Serves as a recognized authority providing advice and consultation on critical problems, which require creativity in generating new approaches for enhancing diversity and inclusion both internally and externally.
