As an information technology intern you’ll get opportunities to utilize your current skills and develop new ones to handle the ever changing requirements of the Information Technology industry. However, service in the FDIC Pathways Internship Program confers no right to further employment in the competitive or excepted service.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-05: To qualify, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

2. Education: Completion of all requirements for a master's degree or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate level education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related -or-
3. Combination of Education and Experience: Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level.
