The Office of Foreign Litigation (OFL) is responsible for handling litigation in foreign courts in which the United States is a party or has an interest. The Senior Level (SL) advises as an international law expert. The SL attorney advises the entire OFL staff, as well as others in the Department of Justice (Department) and Executive Branch, on international law issues. The SL provides key direction to foreign counsel across the globe.

YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): Your responses to the MTQs should be submitted in one document that includes separate narrative statements addressing each of the 2 Mandatory Technical Qualifications (NOT TO EXCEED 2 PAGES PER MTQ).
1. Demonstrated expertise and experience in personally handling foreign and international litigation, as well as the ability to review and direct highly complex foreign and international litigation to ensure superior work product of attorneys in this field.
2. Demonstrated experience serving as a subject matter expert for one's organization in the following areas: international and foreign law, civil and code legal systems, international treaties and tribunals, international and regional organizations, cross-border discovery, sovereign and other immunities that arise in foreign litigation.
