The primary responsibility of this position is to function as the Learning Management System (LMS) Manager, which includes the specific roles of the Profile Maintenance Manager, Administrator, Domain Manager, Item Manager, Registration Manager, and Scheduling Manager for the VARHS. This nationwide employee education system tracks user's education and training and is the database source for reports required by VA (Central Office, VISN 20, and SOARS) and non-VA (Joint Commission, Office of Inspector General) entities.
Incumbent assists with the Education Coordinator and the Director of Education to ensure that all education offerings are consistent with VA policy, meet education standards and mandates, are current, and can be tracked within the database.
Incumbent assists the Education Coordinator with coordination of New Employee Orientation, including delivery of face-to-face training, as well as web-based training. He/she assists with education needs assessment and development, set up, and coordination of web-based and face-to-face training for user education. Edits, produces and formats education program materials. Employee manages training room scheduling and pre-registration and registration for facility-wide training.

It is to be used to determine eligibility for applicable GS-7 level positions of persons who have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
