Major Duties and Responsibilities:
This position serves as a Program Analyst (Graduated Interventions), located in the National Care & Peer Support, Veteran's Crisis Line (VCL), Veteran's Affair (VA). The position is responsible for managing and evaluating various VCL programs to ensure effectiveness of services provided and determining areas of improvement. The Program Analyst manages program operations, develops complex reports for leadership review and oversees implementation of new safety pilot programs.
Selective Placement Factors (SPF) are a prerequisite to an appointment and represent minimum requirements for the position (skill, knowledge, ability or other worker characteristic basic to - and essential for - satisfactory performance of the job). Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the SPF requirement, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. In order to meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet 2/3 of the following examples of specialized experience: applying methods of collecting, quantifying, analyzing, and evaluating data from a variety of sources to make recommendations for program operations; implement findings and recommendation to develop new or modified work methods and/or processes; interpreting and developing regulations, policies, and directives/handbooks that apply to program processes.
