Duties
- Conducts studies and data analysis of work outputs to identify material weaknesses in Accounts Payable operations.
- Evaluates internal payment policies, procedures, controls, and work outputs to provide proactive, user-friendly products and services to the customer and ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) payment policies and directives.
- Develops standard work processes to enhance detection and correction of errors, uniformity of procedures, and improvement of the organization’s productivity.
- Monitors and evaluates financial systems support to ensure compliance, internal controls, and optimal operating procedures.
- Develops detailed recommended plans for correcting weakness and provides training and/or assistance to personnel in the Accounts Payable organization.

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense via delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service planning, scheduling, and conducting reviews and evaluations on financial management data analysis; analyzing issues or problems; selecting and applying appropriate analytical techniques and methods to recommend solutions or improvements to organizational functions.
- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
