As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for major Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) systems.
Location of Position: GSA IT, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), ISSO Support Division (ISTE). This is a Virtual/Remote position. Duty location will be determined upon selection.

IST provides Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Security Assessor and Penetration Tester cybersecurity services to support all Staff Offices and all of GSA’s information systems. The division facilitates integrating IT security in programs and compliance with required security and privacy requirements. Cybersecurity service delivery provided by IST assists the CISO and Authorizing Officials during the independent assessment process to grant an Authority to Operate (ATO). IST also serves stakeholders in an advisory and consultative capacity on a multitude of Federal cyber security initiatives that have government-wide impact.
As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for creation, management, and continued maintenance of accreditation packages for major Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) systems performing the following duties:
Participates in working groups to support the security measures and goals set by the GSA Chief Information Security Officer.
Communicate high level security accreditation information in a clear and concise manner to all stakeholders in support of an accreditation decision.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409.00 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
