This position is located at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, in Porter, Indiana. The primary purpose of this position is to provide custodial maintenance, grounds keepings, and minor park maintenance work in the Division of Maintenance. In addition, this position operates motor vehicles as a regular and recurring part of the position. The incumbent works under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor.

Physical Demands: Considerable physical effort may be required in backing of vehicles, to change tires, and the loading and loading of equipment. Moderately heavy physical effort is required to move and control equipment by pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping. This position consistently moves and lifts object weighing 10 - 50 pounds, and occasionally lifts and moves objects weighing more than 50 pounds. The work requires considerable standing, walking, bending, stretching and working in awkward positions.
Working Conditions: This position operates vehicles in all types of traffic and weather throughout the park and is exposed to the danger of serious accidents. Work is primarily outside in temperatures ranging from 0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and subject to inclement weather conditions.
