Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within a defined area of responsibilities and begins serving in leadership roles. Works with higher and lower level professionals in day- to-day operations on logistics processes and procedures. Provides training to lower-level professionals on logistics.
Applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to forecasting, monitoring, coordinating and control of assigned inventory items required for the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of the NAS. Monitors supply support effectiveness and resolves problems with assigned items utilizing appropriate regulations and procedures. Identifies and initiates alternate supply support methods that are consistent with program plans and applicable policies. Monitors cost and pricing information and adjusts financial data in accordance with policies and procedures. Manages financial records on assigned items to support the objective of the organization.
Compiles financial information for budgeting purposes and performs cost and economic analysis as needed Plans for the acquisition and maintenance of inventory for assigned items using a variety of methods. Techniques and criteria that assures customer requirements are timely met and with high quality products and services. Prepares contract bid packages by generating historical information on demand rates, failure rates, .or other support requirements and submits complete contract packages for award. Participates in contract negotiations and maintains contract milestones. Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts.
Compiles and analyzes information and statistics relative to assigned items and applicable NAS systems/equipment, reporting problems and proposing resolutions that conform to stated goals and objectives. Demonstrates some independence in planning time and using assigned resources to accomplish tasks or small projects. Contacts are both internal and external to the organization to share information, provide data and/or written analysis and to explain the Status of assignments. Stays alert to changing customer needs and challenges, seeking and using customer feedback and suggestions to enhance effectiveness.
Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow some discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es). Required to review processes and make recommended changes to work instruction/policies,/procedures on an as needed basis to the Subject Matter Expert.
TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-G (FG-10/11) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess one (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized Experience includes experience with inventory control regulations and policies; recording and tracking inventory activity and needs; selecting alternative source of supply; and coordination and control on inventory items; monitoring cost and pricing information and makes adjustments to financial data; compiling financial information for budgeting purposes and performs cost and economic analysis; experience preparing contract bid packages
