This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1293000 and is part of the CO MATES 64, National Guard.
This position is responsible for supervising workers directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing work of the function.

Open to members of the Colorado Army National Guard.
Planning: Plans use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis.
Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
Administration: Plans and establishes overall leave schedules.
Performs the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed, such as performing maintenance and/or inspection tasks on equipment, equipment operations, or other non-supervisory functions.
Ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures established for the activity.
Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.

Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions. Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full-time positions or termination of their employment.
