Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform general painting such as redecorating offices, wards, corridors, dining halls/rooms, living quarters and shop buildings. Paints and refinishes furniture, wood and metal such as desks, cabinets, chairs, operating room and laundry equipment. Glazes and caulks windows on air-conditioning equipment, cutting, and installing glass. Coordinate with interior designer on wall coverings and paint color selections.
Install vinyl wall coverings, hangs paper, and tapes and beds. Cuts stencils, paints signs and helps blend and mix colors. Assist in marking streets and cleaning and caring for equipment.
Prepares surfaces by methods such as smoothing with spackling and joint compound, filling, shaping and mixing and applying pre-coating agents; prepares coating materials by tinting, toning, matching, blending and mixing various additives.
