The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Department of Administrative Services, Acquisition Management Office (AMO), Acquisition Policy and Training Division is seeking an exceptional Supervisory Procurement Analyst to serve as the Acquisition Policy and Systems Branch (APSB) Chief. The APSB Chief reports directly to the Acquisition Policy and Training Division Chief.
The APSB Chief leads a staff of procurement analysts and is responsible for developing, revising, and maintaining procurement policies across the judicial branch. A significant area of policy focus is improving information technology (IT) acquisition to support the Judiciary's IT modernization goals, while containing costs. This position leverages acquisition policy to support the long-term technology strategy goals of the AO's IT organizations.
The APSB Chief collaborates with various stakeholders within the AO and across the Judiciary to address various procurement policy issues. Stakeholders include Judiciary information technology program managers, functional line-of-business managers, executives, and court unit executives. The APSB Chief may represent the AMO on IT acquisitions governance boards, advisory groups, working groups, conferences, other events.
The nature of the job duties requires the incumbent to possess strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience drafting and implementing federal procurement policy.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience described above, applicants must meet the following educational requirements to be placed in this job series at this level.
Basic Requirement: A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

Your transcript must reflect that you are seeking and/or possess a 4-year degree along with the 24 successfully achieved credit hours in the fields mentioned above.
