In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Specialized experience is defined as experience in data analysis, technical writing, collaboration with colleagues, and establishing partnerships with FERC constituents such as members of the general public such as community organizations, Tribal Governments, indigenous communities, environmental justice communities, industry, and landowners.
Strong quality control and team leadership skills are necessary to promote innovation and ensure success.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
