You will be responsible for developing and implementing transportation policies and programs and providing technical guidance on regulations, policies, strategic planning and coordination of programs and affiliated initiatives and activities. As a Supervisory Transportation Analyst, you will:
The ideal candidate for this position is a senior level professional who functions independently and demonstrates leadership in team environments and/or managing people. The ideal candidate also has strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills to advance an organization/agency mission in an entrepreneurial, fee-for-service business environment. Experience in analyzing and providing recommendations for improvement of transportation policy and an ability to meet organizational goals is desirable.

If selected, Salary will be adjusted in accordance with the locality pay of the specific area. To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.

Safety Research and Analysis Division: This division supports projects/work related to conducting research and data analysis to inform safety-based decision making.
Safety Program Design and Management Division: This division supports projects/work related to designing and supporting the implementation of surface transportation operational safety programs and regulatory oversight of safety programs and operations.
State Safety Program Support Division: This division supports projects/work related to designing and developing processes and tools to support federal oversight of State Safety Programs, including grant management and oversight support.
Surface Transportation Systems Safety Division: This division will support projects/work related to conducting research, analysis, and outreach to support the development and implementation of surface transportation safety programs and advance safe system approaches.
