The primary purpose of this position is to operate a variety of gasoline or diesel-powered engineering and construction heavy equipment. Performing a multitude of task in all types of terrain and environments. The incumbent operates heavy equipment and trucks, with and without trailers to perform maintenance and repairs on timber access roads. The incumbent is required to operate commercial vehicles and must possess and maintain a valid state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate special endorsements to perform the work of the position. Other duties assigned include but not limited to performing minor maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks. Completing forms and records as necessary to document work completed.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
