This vacancy announcement is open to current or former judiciary employees of the federal judiciary (AO or U.S. Courts) nationwide. Relocation expenses will not be provided unless specifically authorized by the Director of the AO.
The Associate Director of DAS serves as the principal senior executive overseeing a broad portfolio of services that support the federal judiciary, including the following: Budget, Procurement and Acquisition, Human Resources, Financial Management and Accounting, Facilities, Security, Administrative Systems, and staff support for certain Judicial Conference Committees and Advisory Councils. For each program within this portfolio, the Associate Director provides high-level, executive oversight of strategic planning, mission execution, program assessments, resource planning and execution (e.g., human resources, funding), policy development and analysis, and communications. DAS has approximately 500 government employees and fiduciary responsibility for more than $9 million in annual appropriations.
