This position is located in the Counseling, Advocacy and Prevention (CAP) Program of the Fleet and Family Support Center at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and oversee all aspects of clinical services to include implementation of the non-medical counseling (NMC) program and the Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL) program at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC). This position supports the FFSP mission by providing clinical counseling supervision based on sound knowledge of evidence-informed, solution-focused clinical counseling services, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, and clinical case management for sailors with suicide related behavior.
SUPERVISION

Possess one of the following degrees:
(1) Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree.
(2) Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree.
(3) Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree.
(4) Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1-year APA accredited clinical internship.
Note: Your degree must be from an accredited college recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
