Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) performing facility access control measures by granting access to persons and vehicles with appropriate authorization to include operating physical access control equipment such as barriers or other tools to secure buildings or access points; (2) safeguarding personnel, information, and critical assets and preventing theft, damage and trespass, through enforcement of security policies and regulations; AND (3) Instructs employees in specific task and job techniques by providing on-the-job training at access control points. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
