The incumbent specializes in professional work captioning the SSA real-time broadcasts and post-production videos for internal and external distribution, as well as providing Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) services for SSA employees with special needs. Alternative media, such as closed captions, are mandated by the terms of section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1973, as well as SSA policies and procedure.
