Serves as a second-level team manager over four sub-teams, geographically disbursed at several National Airspace System (NAS) enterprise control centers locations throughout the United States.
Reports directly to the National Operations Group Manager in the NAS Security & Enterprise Operations Directorate.
Oversees a highly technical workforce of IT specialists and airway transportation systems specialists that provide 24/7 monitor and control of multiple enterprise-level services and systems, both FAA and contract provided to ensure safe and efficient flow of air traffic throughout the NAS.
Has extensive experience in the monitor and control environment, and has a broad understanding of how air traffic, aviators, and system owners utilize NAS services. Understands the interrelationship and dependencies of multiple enterprise NAS data systems, how data flows, and what products are used from each service.
Collaborates with Technical Operations Control Centers (TOCC) and system owners to resolve high-level issues between program offices, enterprise maintenance offices, cybersecurity, and engineering offices related to enterprise service enhancement and modernization. Collaborates with international offices on systems and services that have international impact or interdependencies.
Ensures NAS enterprise events are upward reported to national program offices and the national control centers.
Overseeing NAS systems and services, including the execution of the operation and maintenance program outlined in FAA orders 6000.15, 6030.41, and 6040.15.
Directs and assigns the work of subordinate employees. Fosters a fair and equitable work environment, sets priorities and deadlines, assigns tasks and responsibilities, plans and establishes work schedules, monitors and evaluates performance, approves leave, coaches and develops staff, and manages conduct and discipline as appropriate.
Provides leadership in the areas of Cybersecurity Engineering (CE) across ATO environments and touchpoint to the aviation ecosystem. Manages and deploys enterprise security solutions for remediation of common security vulnerabilities. Evaluates technical security concerns for ATO system and provides solutions for system vulnerabilities. Briefs security authorization stakeholders and executives on recommended authorization paths.
Collaborates with the ATO stakeholders on system architectures and vulnerability management concerns to ensure that cybersecurity threats can be effectively identified, categorized and mitigated.
Collaborates across ACG teams to properly identify cybersecurity requirements for insertion into automated tool and communicates prioritization of security software efforts.
Creates and maintains a supportive work environment that promotes collaboration and open communication between employees and management. Inspires, coaches, and guides staff members in accomplishing desired goals within a complex and changing environment.

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-J, FG/GS-14.
