Serves as a Operations Manager (OM) in a Large TRACON, responsible for planning and directing operations. The incumbent may be requested to provide direct support to the Air Traffic Manager. In the terminal option, the OM provides first-line supervision to assigned Operation Supervisors (OS) and Traffic Management Coordinators (TMC), if applicable. The OM provides second-line supervision to Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS). The OM is responsible for operational services of the facility including traffic management initiatives. Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building throughout his/her area(s) of responsibility. Integrates support resources with operational needs to maintain effective ATC service, and may work other than administrative shifts to meet this requirement. Using measures of organizational performance, the OM continuously reviews work processes to assure that results meet the agency's mission and the customers' needs, adds value to facility services, and are efficiently achieved. Serves as a member of the management team and provides advice on ways to improve organizational performance and to meet strategic goals.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS: Special Consideration will be given to individuals that have:
1. At least one year of TMU experience
2. Management experience as an MSS2/3/4 at a level 10,11,12 radar facility.
