1. Develop and analyzes long-range plans for OAR program activities, services, and processes.
2. Provide policy guidance and technical instruction to VA personnel in regional offices.
3. Provides day to day oversight of OAR functions to include, but not limited to, budget formulation and execution, staffing and recruitment, continuous process improvement, and program management and leadership.
4. Responsible for the effective, efficient, and economic direction, control and operation of this department-level program that provides benefits and services to Veterans.
5. Reviews proposed legislation, policies, and procedures pertaining to OAR programs and services; comments, recommends, and implements appropriate action.
6. Participates in Congressional hearings on proposed legislation and program oversight.

You may be considered non-competitively for appointment to this position if you meet the mandatory technical qualifications requirements.
