As a SUPERVISORY IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) GS-2210-15, you will work on a fast-paced, cross-functional team on a range of activities, including the following:
- Exercise full supervisory responsibility including but not limited to assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of direct report employees.
- Lead and participate in the hiring process for positions on the cybersecurity team.
- Oversee and guide the development of cybersecurity policies and programs through collaboration within OFCIO and with other OMB offices, the Office of the National Cyber Director, the National Security Council, the Department of Homeland Security, and various interagency working groups.
- Conduct in-depth analysis in support of budget, legislative, and regulatory policy relevant to information security.
- Oversee and execute cybersecurity policy and organizational analyses. Review agency performance through oversight activities including the management of FISMA metrics and other cybersecurity performance indicators.
- Lead OFCIO engagement on cybersecurity incident response.
- Brief OMB and other EOP leadership on cybersecurity challenges, policy, and trends in written and verbal form.
