As a Historian, you will:
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: history; or related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history.
or
B. Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in history, or a major in a related field that included at least 18 semester hours in history, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience planning and leading historical research projects or field studies representing a broad range of historic events and time
periods; Providing consultation or guidance under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA); and Assessing building or construction project compliance with historical or cultural laws or regulations or other requirements.
