Lifeguard Certification Training is located at Richardson Pool on Schofield Barracks. Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be non-competitively placed in a Recreation Aid (Lifeguard) position PD #3206, at either Aliamanu Pool (Honolulu) or Helemano Pool (Wahiawa) locations.

This is an exciting opportunity and stepping stone to become a Lifeguard with U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii
Lifeguard training will be held during Spring Break March 18-22, 2024
Those who work in this position will be provided with the opportunity to obtain Lifeguard Certifications at no cost them.
Once certified, employees become eligible for reassignment to a Recreation Aid (Lifeguard), NF-0189-01 position with a pay rate increase.
Please note, this position does not have any working hours available, and paid hours are only for hours completed during Lifeguard certification course.
This is a Standing Register and eligible applicants will be referred to management upon request.
