Duties

Help

Custodial Duties Comprise 40% of Duties and include but not limited to:

  • Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of club interior and exterior and other areas as directed. Custodial duties include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping, dusting and emptying trash.
  • Maintains maintenance shop in a safe and clean condition.
  • Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and supplies, and notifies supervisor when more are needed.
  • Observes environmental safety, security and housekeeping rules and regulations.
Maintenance Duties comprise 35% of Duties and include but not limited to:
  • Maintains grounds within club premise. Performs light landscaping work of club grounds to include trimming of branches, clearing of fallen leaves, regular power washing, etc.
  • Maintains general equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition.
  • Assists in the performance of one or more trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, painting, light alterations and other related trades. Light carpentry duties include but not limited to door and cabinet refurbishment or repair.
  • Assists in performing repair of recreation/mess equipment and appliances and other related maintenance and/or custodial duties.
  • Assists with light maintenance of fixtures and appliances within facility.
  • May assist in the performance of minor electrical repairs to switches and boxes, and replace electric lights, fuses and fixtures.
  • Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment.
  • Assists club/duty manager in transporting/setting up/tearing down of event venue.
Motor Vehicle Operator duties comprise 25% of Duties and include but not limited to:
  • Delivers food/food-related items between club and cafe within and outside of installation.
  • Drives motor vehicles to and from work sites, warehouses, and dumps.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI/T1).
  • This position will require the incumbent to work some weekends, late night, long shifts, holidays, and overtime.
  • Continual standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and moving objects weighing 40 – 50 lbs (15 – 22 kilograms)

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of trade practices sufficient to complete simple tasks using common skills.
  • Knowledge and skill sufficient to perform minor maintenance of equipment and appliances.
  • Familiarity with safe use of common hand and powered tools.
  • Possession of a valid local driver's license.
  • The incumbent must have skill and knowledge to use basic and specialized tools.
  • Must have the ability to assemble equipment.
  • Must possess customer service skills to deal with all levels of customers including military and civilian patrons.

Education

  • When education is a basic requirement for the position, or when substituting education for experience, applicants MUST submit a copy of high school transcripts, college transcript, or a list of courses, which includes grades earned, completion dates, and quarter, and/or semester hours earned as part of the application package.
  • Foreign education must include evidence that it is comparable to education received at accredited educational institutions in the United States.
  • Transcripts from foreign colleges must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered.
