You must perform the following major duties:
Technical Duties:
Serves as a senior IT expert developing, delivering, and supporting agency IT program office systems and services. Develops and interprets policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of program office services. Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
Provides leadership and information to develop and share best practices with agencies in areas such as market intelligence, government insight, or purchasing advice. Oversees the planning of projects, setting priorities, assigning work, establishing deadlines, and reviewing and monitoring the quantity, quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
Reviews draft or complete federal directives and other guidelines, such as those from the employing agency, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), National Institute of Standards and Technology, or the Federal Information Security Management Act to present impact assessments and/or implementation recommendations.
Identifies improvement opportunities for enterprise-level systems to support business processes, utilize emerging technologies, and integrate systems and applications. Ensures technical integration is achieved through participation in test planning, validation, and reviews. Evaluates the effects of emerging technologies on IT investments, business operations, and stakeholder needs/satisfaction.
Represents the IT program office in external meetings with key stakeholders, such as the agency Office of Governmentwide Policy, Government Accountability Office, OMB, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or other agencies and industry groups.
Provides systems analytical support to strategic planning processes, business volume formulations, budget processes, and vehicle reporting.
Supervisory Duties:
Provides technical and administrative supervision/oversight to the assigned organizational staff. Oversees the daily operations of the organization. Ensures higher-echelon guidelines and priorities are followed. Plans and assigns work; sets and adjusts priorities and monitors progress in completion of assignments. Develops performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $116,393 per year.
