- Plans and conducts engineering geophysics investigations including seismic refraction/reflection, SP/resistivity, EM, magnetometer, down hole/cross hole seismic evaluation, seepage and tracer testing, GPR and other similar technologies. Conducts analysis of geophysical data for engineering evaluation, dam safety risk assessment, and design for construction modifications for a variety of engineering structures and their foundations.
- Evaluates geophysical investigation plans, execution of work and data for civil engineering structures and the foundation of dams to
provide expert opinion to seismologists and engineers for use in the development of the seismic analysis, engineering evaluation,
and engineering design.
- Attends meetings with other organizational units within federal agencies, private sector companies or professional
societies with the goal of ensuring appropriate technical information is conveyed. Successful communication with team members in the performance of project management duties and characterization of technical information.
- Prepares reports, written documents and technical presentations.
